About

I am currently at the National Science Foundation working to coordinate interagency and international ocean science and technology policy. Previously I was a postdoctoral research associate as Pacific Northwest National Laboratory, working to model storm impacts on offshore macroalgae cultivation. I completed my PhD at the University of Washington in the Civil and Environmental Engineering Department. My research interests include marine renewable energy, environmental impacts of new ocean infrastructure, marine organisms physical interactions with their environment, marine mammal biomechanics, finite element analysis of biological materials, and hydrodynamics of coastal regions.
